Blake grew up with a family full of musicians. His father (who is also a drummer) would have rehearsals at his his home on a weekly basis and Blake couldn't wait to get his chance to set in. He was given his first drum kit at the age of 4 and he was determined to learn how to play. He continued to progressed and earned a spot on the praise and worship band at his church at the age of 13. He also was allowed to play his kit in the middle school band. Music has always been a huge part of Blake's life.

With wide ranging influences from The Allmans Brothers to Radiohead, Jeremy brings a modulated yet blues inspired approach the the bands overall unique flavor. His honed skills and creative ability have been developed through twenty five years of playing side by side with his brother, fellow Teaspoon Sun guitarist Matthew Walley. This has led to the ability to work with other musicians as well as exceptional stand alone guitar work. You can hear hints of various composers such as Bach and Brahms from his early education as a concert violinist throughout his playing. This has in turn allowed an ease of improvisation across a wide span of musical genres.

Jeff's love for music came at an early age, as he toured as a featured soloist for the Chattanooga Boys Choir. He went on to obtain honors in the Tennessee All-State Mens Chorus, as well as being trained as a classical cellist with the Chattanooga Youth Symphony, during which time he was also selected to attend the Tennessee Governors School for the Arts.

Bio:
As an original member of the Chattanooga band, Matthew helped Teaspoon Sun pave their way onto the scene with music influenced by the heroes he grew up with. Guitarist like: Tim Reynolds, Trey Anastasio, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, Derek Trucks and even the great classical player, John Williams, are the template in which he works within and without. As one of the primary songwritters in the band, Matthew lends his expression from these artist along with many more.
